Winners of the BrewNZ Beer and Chefs comptetion

Victoria Wells, Editor, Dish Magazine: "It was a visually appealing dish, and the slight sweetness from the Manuka Honey in the beer was a perfect complement to the heat and spice from the chorizo sausage and harissa aioli in the salad. It was clear a lot of thought had gone into this food and beer match - congradulations Cafe Polo!"

MATA Manuka and MATA Artesian awarded BRONZE!!

We are very happy to have recieved two more medals this year.

The competition was tightly judged and 77% of 370 beers enterd did not receive a medal. For a listing of all the results see the Brewers Guild

In July the Japanese Government handpicked and sponsored 50 of New Zealands top young business people to visit Japan. The purpose was to learn about business and culture in Japan. Aotearoa Breweries were the only representitives from the brewing industry. This picture shows Jaysen Magan and Clint Hemana at the New Zealand Embassey in Japan

The National Indian Queens Birthday Hockey Tornament is held in Palmerston North. MATA was asked to provide refreshments and was given prime space in the upstairs clubrooms at the Twin Turfs.

Tammy and Jaysen, with the help of the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Market Development Grant are on route to the HOFEX trade show in Hong Kong to look for opportunities in Asian Markets.

Following the New Zealand Beer Festival in Wellington Becky from Juniper Restaurant & Bar contacted us and MATA is now the boutique beer of choice. The launch was awesome and MATA was a hit with all those that attended.

MATA has been accepted into the FOMANA, Tekau Plus, Exporting Excellence programme and as part of this was a main sponsor at the launch of the KOHA magazine.

More medals came our way at the second largest beer awards in the world. The MANUKA was awarded a Silver and the ARTESIAN a bronze. Following these awards we have also gained distribution into Melbourne, Australia. If you know of anyone there looking for great ales please let us know.
